Tea and scones for breakfast

This is what my view looked like from the couch early on Friday morning:

Before going to bed early on Thursday I made a batch of current scones. Lemon curd and tea made them the perfect breakfast for the occasion.
As Kate walked down the aisle I was chowing down, thankful to be married and therefore able to wolf another scone without fearing what it'd do to my figure on my wedding day.
Ah, the joys of marriage.

p.s. I think this the first photo I've ever posted of our basement TV room. More will follow in the months to come. Mike's dreams of a man-worthy den will come true sooner than later.

  1. Yum! Looks like a delicious way to wake up. =) I have never tried lemon curd, which is crazy since my entire extended family is Scottish/british. I will have to try it sometime. I got up at 3:45 to watch the wedding too. totally worth it! It's definitely one of those once-in-a-lifetime things!

  3. Ha! It looks like the announcer is saying something like, "Hey! No eating scones unless you share!"

    Isn't it funny that we were eating the same thing around the same time?! I added lemon zest to the current scone recipe and really liked it!
