We've been doing some preparation for a certain someone's wedding coming up later in May, and I'm dying to share some of the details with you.
Let's start by introducing our color palate: blush, ebony, and pewter. We--my personal wedding coordinator named Jane, or Mom and I--are loosely following this when making our decorating decisions. Think old Hollywood glamour with a vintage Dakota vibe.
One thing we are using is vintage silver, not bright and new, but with a slight patina, similar to pewter. (I am more easily able to link everything into the color palate as of late. Black tuxes are now ebony, pink flowers have become blush, and vintage silver is pewter. Silly, I know, but this is La La Land.)
I polished silver yesterday and today. We have some beautiful vintage finds that cleaned up well. How will we use them? You'll have to wait to find out!
Don't you just love this pitcher? I'm sure R. A. Hatfield would've never guessed his prize winning cup would make its way into a Dakota wedding. The reverse side shows it was won at the Missouri State Fair. LOVE IT!
